South Africa

It was very, very cold the day I arrived. With the stormy wind and the rain I felt like having arrived in stormy autumn Holland.

But no, the next day it was nice and sunny and I could sit in the garden of my friends to relax in the sun. And ever since we have had very nice weather. Although in the house in the evenings it is cold and I am wearing my sweater.

Friday I went with Erna Tolkamp to Tsitsikamma National Park where we had a climb to the suspension bridges and had some good views on the Indian Ocean.

Monday I went with Louis Tolkamp to Hankey, to see the biggest sundial in South Africa, enjoy the view and a walk to a small waterfall.

Yesterday and this morning was more community work. Yesterday I visited the Joshua Project where Louis and Erna work. They were starting a new project, gardening. And all the boys, and two girls, who come to the project in the morning were given a very small plot where they will plant some of their own food.
