Since the middle of May I have been back in Adi and it have been hectic times. It was okay for me to return to DR Congo after the insecurity was high in the middle of April. After a good time in Kampala I went back and entered again through Aru where I met up with Kokole Idring’i, our church president. He had just come from Adi and said it was okay for me to return. Before I returned I joined CECA 20 medical people in their district meeting (Adi and Aru district). I could have a lift after that to go home.
That Sunday we had the installation of the section pastor and his deputy. I wanted to be there and I could. It was a great service (19 May).

During a hectic period in the end of June and the beginning of July we mourned two deaths. One of the was Araba Opu, father of Anite, my househelp; the other one was Mama Balonge, who died of a heart attack. Both deaths were a blow to many and they are missed by the whole community.

There were scary moments as well when a snake roamed just outside my office window. It was killed by one of my workers. I still am not sure if it was a poisonous green mamba or a look-alike not poisonous green snake.

The primary school kids who live at the child rescue center Bethsaida all passed to the next grade. We are thankful for that. However, Dieumerci, the boy who went to secondary school left school in May because of personal problems with Mama Anna.

Also, Likambo went to Aba with Mama Anna because her sister had died there, and he could visit Caleb and Myriam, the twins who had lived at Bethsaida. They were doing well.

A big happening that took place was the graduation of the 4th year Bible School students at Adi. The evening before We heard that one of the women of the graduating class delevered triplets, one boy and two girls. Unfortunately, the boy died on graduation day in the afternoon. The two girls, who weighed 1.300 and 1.500 grams did survive and are growing, though very, very slowly.

Another highlight is that we continued to film for our second movie, a sequel to the movie Along’hase that we produced in 2010. The medical people then said that they missed counseling and testing (among others) so this second movie has this aspect in there. The filming was done in two days as I had to leave for Kampala and Isaac is doing his practical work for the university in some of the local churches around Adi. He didn’t have a lot of time and I am grateful that he could come because of permission from Adi church section.
